QUALITY-ASSURANCE
Quality
assurance is accomplished by the producers, our own quality
control department and by the CITEP - Control Lab, an
independent laboratory, with a crew of professionals of very
large trajectory in this matter.
A good quality
product is the key to a satisfied customer, because of this,
we put an enormous effort on this subject.
Our quality
control department is run by Chemical Engineering Mrs.
Monica Barbetta. She is one of the most experienced
inspectors on the field. She has been in the company for the
past 12 years.
Controls
include determination of freshness of the seafood, hygiene
of the process, control on the grading and packing process,
check on the post-freezing temperature and loading.
CITEP -
Control Lab practices physical, chemical and microbiological
analysis on our productions, with protocols normalized with
U.S. and European countries.

South Marine
was created in 1976 by its current president, Guillermo De
Martis. Since the beginning, the company has been located in
the heart of Mar del Plata port, working side by side with
the local producers.
The knowledge
and efficiency of our staff plus its buying and quality
control capacities were the key traits that allowed South
Marine to expand its own activities, reaching the
international market to serve the most exigent clients with
the most diverse products available.
